Is this an over 18 event?
Yes, the St Kilda Openair Cinema is a fully licensed event restricted to persons over the age of 18. Under 18 year olds will be only be permitted when accompanied by a parent
Can we get drinks and food at the event?
Yes, we have arranged with the generous support of our sponsors a large selection of great value drinks and food (including vegetarian choices). There will be an inexpensive bar and lots of yummy food provided by Amello restaurant. There is also a sit down dining option if you book in advance.
What about if it rains or gets cold?
The St Kilda Openair Cinema is an all weather summer event. It can get chilly at night by the beach (even after a hot day) so it's a good idea to bring warm clothing and a blanket. Movies will still be screened if it rains intermittently, so bring wet weather gear just in case of showers or cooler weather. If a session is cancelled for any reason, your tickets will be exchangeable for any other night of our season. Please see door staff for details.
Seating
Limited chairs and tables are proivded. Seating is unreserved, so come early to get a good spot. Bring a cushion and blanket to be comfortable. Bean bags are available for hire at $3 each.
Technical
We offer one of the best outdoor digital and 35mm cinema projection, big screen and sound facilities for a great movie experience
What times do the films start?
Box office opens at 7.00pm giving you time to enjoy pre movie music, food and the sunset. The film will start at sundown. Seating is unreserved. Be there early to get a good seat.
Can I bring my dog, goldfish or pet mouse along?
Unfortunately pets are prohibited within the Sea Baths.
What happens to lost property?
Please contact the manager on the night or call the venue the following morning.
Can we go skinny dipping after the movie?
Yes we encourage this, but we can take no responsibility if caught
